From washing the whole log home, decks and out buildings, that were beyond overdue, to repairs, maintenance and re-staining, matching original colours and preserving the cottage we had just purchased and loved. It is great to have someone like you to look after our favourite things.
This aim of this home renovation project in Cavan, ON, was to provide the owners more space and privacy as their children grow.
To achieve this, we designed and constructed a top level addition, on this split level home, to accommodate a new primary bedroom with ensuite, and walk-in-closet. We also added a cantilevered balcony to connect the interior space with the natural outdoor surroundings. At the top of the stairs we added a small library/reading nook with storage.
One of the major challenges of this project was protecting the home while there was no roof. To help ensure minimal impact from the outdoor elements we prebuilt the floor structure, walls, and roof on the ground and then used a crane to put everything in place in a single day.
